On Aug. 24, 2015, Life Care Centers of America presented Life Care Center of Lewiston, Idaho, with the Facility of the Year Award for its Northwest Division.
The award was given during the company’s annual management meeting at its headquarters in Cleveland, Tennessee. It recognizes the facility as the premier location in the division, which includes 29 skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities in Idaho, Oregon, Utah and Washington.
Criteria for this award include excellent customer service, a strong activities department, an active volunteer program and involvement in the community.
Life Care Center of Lewiston, led by Executive Director Tiffany Goin, has a five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
“Consistently, when I visit the facility, customers are commenting on the positive feeling they have and how impressed they are with the care they receive,” said Tim Needles, who oversees Life Care’s buildings in the region. “Consistent leadership from the executive director, the director of nursing, the experienced resident care managers and the new on-site physician, Dr. Harris, has been the driver of the culture of caring.”
The facility also actively participates in fundraising each year for the Boys and Girls Club of Lewiston. Over the years, it has raised more than $300,000 for the local charity.
“We congratulate Tiffany and her team of associates who, together, have developed such a strong facility,” said Beecher Hunter, Life Care president. “The residents and rehab patients at Life Care Center of Lewiston are the real winners as they benefit from the works of love performed by the team every day.”
